Payroll Coordinator
In the role of Payroll Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our payroll team, where you will execute payroll services and processes for the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of weekly payrolls for both union and nonunion employees, by auditing and verifying electronic timekeeping records and troubleshooting system payroll issues, while contributing to various projects as a subject matter expert, among other duties.
This position is based in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and reports to the Payroll Manager.
The Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of routine payrolls via an In House payroll system
- Process and support entity specific multi-state payrolls
- Maintain personnel files
- Process weekly employee terminations, enter new employees, and maintain employee direct deposit information
- Complete requests for pay related documents including statements and verifications
- Enter employee benefit selections and complete EEOC reporting
- Analyze, research and set up, when appropriate, all Garnishments, Leins Tax Levies and Leaves of Absence
- Audit/Analyze/Determine/React in majority of the steps in the payroll process
- Possess working knowledge of company policies (as they relate to payroll and time & attendance) and ensure they are followed
- Support employees, managers and Human Resources team member on wage and hour laws, compliance, and internal & external policy changes
- Other duties as assigned
- Input and process, Employee knowledge on ACA 1095 forms, employee 401k and pension census and audits
The Other Qualifications
- 5 years of In House payroll processing experience
- You have a solid understanding of payroll and corporate procedures with the ability to follow company’s established procedures.
- Experience with time, attendance, and payroll systems
- Multi-state payroll processing experience, preferred
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and you provide a high level of customer service
- You can work with minimal supervision in a team setting
- You can work with and maintain confidential documents and information
- You have excellent organizational skills to complete a large volume of work timely and accurately and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome
- You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments
