Diesel Mechanic
We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our Birchwood Transport team on 2nd shift in Kenosha County, WI!
Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining Birchwood Transport’s equipment in a safe and cost-efficient manner. The mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, servicing, and repairing of Birchwood Transport’s tractors, trailers, reefer units, and other equipment. Mechanic must be able to complete all fleet maintenance processes and ensure that units meet Birchwood Transport’s specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Make repairs on units in a timely and safe manner.
- Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-year experience in Semi-Tractor maintenance and repair and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- DOT certified in FHWA Inspections & Air Brakes. (Preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have basic computer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer.
- Must have proper tools.
