Sanitation Supervisor

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Sanitation Supervisor to lead our night shift sanitation team. This role is responsible for overseeing the cleaning, sanitization, and reassembly of equipment used during daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise sanitation crew during night shift operations.
  • Oversee equipment disassembly, cleaning, sanitization, and reassembly.
  • Ensure proper staffing and shift coverage.
  • Enforce safety policies and lead scheduled safety meetings.
  • Conduct coaching sessions and support employee development.
  • Prepare and submit nightly sanitation reports.
  • Monitor sanitation efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct accident investigations and maintain safety documentation.
  • Manage employee time records and attendance.
  • Maintain training documentation for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and HACCP requirements.
  • Monitor GMPs and enforce company policies.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in sanitation within the food industry.
  • Familiarity with USDA and OSHA regulations required.
  • Degree in Meat or Agricultural Science preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with CIP systems, chemical handling, and industrial equipment cleaning.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated environments and overnight hours.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This position is 100% on-site and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
  • Regular interaction with production teams on the manufacturing floor is required.
  • Must be able to work in a food manufacturing environment, including cold and refrigerated areas.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, food production equipment, and manufacturing noise levels.
  • Must follow all food safety, quality, sanitation, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods throughout the workday.
