Supervisor in Training
Are you a motivated recent graduate looking to launch a leadership career in manufacturing and food production? Birchwood Foods is seeking high-potential candidates for our Supervisor in Training Program, a unique 12-month development opportunity designed to prepare future leaders for supervisory roles within our operations team.
This program provides hands-on, cross-functional experience in key areas of our business, including:
- Quality Assurance
- Production
- Shipping & Receiving
- Sanitation
Participants will gain valuable exposure to daily operations, develop leadership skills, and build a comprehensive understanding of the food manufacturing industry. The program includes quarterly performance reviews and performance-based compensation increases throughout the program, with the ultimate goal of advancing into an Operations Supervisor role.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in structured training across multiple operational departments.
- Learn and apply food safety, quality, and production standards.
- Support daily operational activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with department leaders to understand business processes and best practices.
- Analyze operational data and assist with problem-solving efforts.
- Develop leadership and team management skills through hands-on experience.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating departmental activities.
- Take an active role in driving efficiency, quality, and workplace safety.

Qualifications

- Related field
- Demonstrated leadership qualities through academics, internships, work experience, athletics, student organizations, or other extracurricular involvement
- Passion for quality, manufacturing, and operational excellence
- Interest in pursuing a long-term leadership career within a manufacturing environment
