Yard Spotter- 2nd shift
We are seeking a highly alert and safety-focused Yard Spotter to join our team in Kenosha County, WI on 2nd shift! This role is critical for maintaining a safe work environment by assisting operators and ensuring proper site logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Hazard Identification: Continuously scan the environment for potential dangers such as overhead power lines, ground hazards (trip/fall risks), and nearby equipment.
- Communication: Use clear, pre-arranged hand signals or radios to communicate effectively with operators.
- Site Safety: Ensure the safety of workers on foot and prevent property damage; report any issues promptly to supervisors.
- Site Logistics: Direct and park vehicles in designated areas, such as loading docks.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Alertness: Must remain fully focused on the task, free from distractions (phones, etc.).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including proficiency with hand signals.
- Spatial Awareness: Strong ability to judge distances and positions accurately.
- Experience: Previous experience operating spotter cabs, heavy equipment, or working in a warehouse/yard environment is preferred.
